Greetings and Salutations

I would like to let you know more about me, my art, and my goals and objectives.

Currently, I work part-time teaching for a community college. However, after nearly 10 years of dealing with Early-onset Parkinsons, I understand, eventually, driving will become more challenging as will long days on campus as well as (even now) dealing with a shaky hand. Hence, I find myself working on my future fictional writing career (starting with historical fiction) and creating digital art.

Much of my time outside of teaching and statistical consulting is spent working on creative arts.

In 2019, I was encouraged to write a novel. I had written poetry in my youth and was creating short stories when I was challenged to write a novel, and given the gift of inspiration, I wrote the first paragraph of

A Mediterranean Connection - Travels of Jean Pierre Désir

September 2, 2019, and over the next 470 days wrote nearly 115,000 words and creating the world of MARCELLO.

In January of 2021, I began seeking a literary agent; however, what I found was many who wish to help me self-publish.

Since that time, I have continued to develop the storylines. At the same time, seeking an editor that I can afford, and the manuscript has manifested into a trilogy with the original title as the capstone.

A Mediterranean Connection - The Trilogy

A Mediterranean Connection, this historical fiction is descriptive prose where the first two stories are novellas entitled:

The Artisans of MARCELLO

and

Memories of Jean Pierre Désir

and are prequels to the main story

Projects associated with A Mediterranean Connection

1. Finish writing the prequels:

   1. The Artisans of MARCELLO is the story of Drake Marcello and how the artisan's community came about - the layout of the district: the museum, the bathhouse, the lounge, the cafe, the dance hall, the pleasure place, the bar, and the trade store; and introducing the young Lady Marcello. Current Word Count: 20,591

   2. Memories of Jean Pierre Désir is the story that introduces the main male character - a powerful man who has spent the majority of his life in the service of the king.

2. Working on the illustrations described in the trilogy, created by young Lady Marcello's mother, includes the layout of MARCELLO, the GRAND DOMICILE, the seven houses, and the various dynamic art pieces on display throughout the estate. (See MARCELLO)

3. Working on the digital art to be placed in the Google Earth Project: From France to Italy that takes visitors on tour through Europe that follows Paris, France to Venice, Italy taken by Jean Pierre Désir and his driver, Logan. (See Travels of Jean Pierre Désir)

4. Have outlined a list of all the dishes served at MARCELLO and (in time) will post individual recipes and eventually make a cookbook available that includes my experience when first making these dishes myself.
